A note from Michelle

Gabriel hand drew this logo himself and recreated it in Procreate for his own tattoo business. The use of depth and shadow is impressive so too are the multiple shades of blue in the latex glove.

The brief:

A professional speaker who trains others in presentation and public speaking requested a simple black and white logo.

Design Reasoning:

Created in Adobe Illustrator I first designed a 3D letter 'M', tilted it and added a shadow. I then removed a horizontal section for the business name. This logo looks just as good in reverse, white on black.

The brief:

A public speaking trainer, Katharina uses detailed quasi-objective analysis to figure out what works and what doesn’t work in talks and presentations. She hosts seminars and conducts individual coaching and training. Katharina is a qualified scientist in Psychology/Neuroscience.

Design Reasoning:

I immediately associated an image of the brain with Katharina’s psychology & neuroscience background and therefore incorporated the brain with the headset to represent her occupation as presenter, trainer and coach.

Aquariums And Ponds Gallery

Reef Aquarium

This salt water tank was designed, constructed and is maintained by Tony Jenkins.

From the age of 12 Tony has been fascinated with aquatic life and this led him to a career in the aquarium industry. His experience working with fish and underwater ecosystems deepened his appreciation for the natural world and fostered a strong sense of environmental stewardship.

Tony's expertise in this area is unparalleled, making him a sought-after consultant in the world of aquarium maintenance and design.

Koi and Goldfish Pond

This pond was designed and built by Tony Jenkins. It's a 30yr old pond which had a major redesign 5yrs ago. The waterfall was also added earlier this year. Koi and goldfish are extremely hardy when kept outside. No heating is required and the pond receives regular water changes from the water tank which collects rain water from the roof of the house.

Turtle Tank

This turtle tank currently holds 2 Eastern Long Neck turtles and is located outside on a deck.

The tank is decorated with reeds, rocks and logs so the turtles can emerge from the water when required.

On extremely hot days the turtles need shade and to be kept cool with large frozen water bottles. If it is extremely cold in winter they need a heater.

These turtles are fed prawns and mussels twice weekly and benefit from a water change once a month.
